Jesus Never…

Jesus Never…

…called me names.

…dragged me across the playground by my pigtail.

…spat on me from across the swimming pool when I had my glasses off.

…put spiders in my shower.

…awakened me at 2 AM to cook him a hamburger.

…verbally abused me.

…abandoned me to live with another.

…stole my watch.

…convinced me I was a loser.

…wouldn’t share with me.

…made fun of me.

…embarrassed me.

…took advantage of my naiveté.

…lied to me.

…laughed at me.

…taught me evil things.

…yelled at me.

…falsely accused me.

…hit me.

——-Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example… who committed no sin…and while being reviled, He did not revile in return——-

Jesus Never…

…discounted my generosity.

…sneaked intoxicants into my soda.

…lusted after me.

…hated me.

…refused to forgive me.

…put me in harm’s way.

…broke a promise to me.

——-Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God——-

Jesus Never…

…helped me with selfish motives.

…withheld good things from me.

…insulted me.

…gave me an undoable ultimatum.

…forced me to obey manmade rules.

…refused to hear my story.

…assumed the worst about me.

…punished me for the sins of another.

…spurned me for not hating someone.

…believed gossip about me.

…repeated gossip about me.

…lied about me.

——-love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you——-

Jesus Never…

…forgot the details of instructions he gave me.

…changed the rules midstream on me.

…underestimated me.

…told people to stay away from me.

…wrote me off overnight.

…threatened me.

…made me forsake Christians I love.

…quit being my friend.

——-when we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure; when we are slandered, we try to conciliate——-

I love these reminders of how Jesus loves, has compassion, grace, and mercy…May we imitate what Jesus did do and does continually do.
