I’ll Take It.

Some things happened this week that had me scratching my head: coincidences? God’s handiwork? I say, God is never taken by surprise.
You call it what you will…
I’ll take it.
—I am God… declaring the end from the beginning… I will accomplish all my purpose
In the Good Samaritan parable, the Lord uses the word “chance” or “coincidence.” Now by chance a priest was going down that roadsun (together with) + kurios (supreme in authority). In other words, situations coincide… by God’s providence.
— Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.
So here’s the thing: I walked into the Temp Agency. Right out of the gate, they told me they had nothing suitable. But we updated my profile, and I took the testing.
Would you believe: right after I left, an assignment came in?!
— Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.
This seems like the Lord…
I’ll take it.
At my interview the next day, we discussed my transition. Surprisingly, my doubts and fears began to fall away like scales—due to the reasonableness of a sharp consultant.
Coincidence? Not-so-much. This was a gift.
I’ll take it.
for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose
That was Wednesday—then waiting for background check. Friday: still no confirmation. Those fear-filled “what ifs” started creeping back in. I was fraught with fruitless fretting! I finally had to pray—leaving it with God. I ended my prayer, and turned on the radio. Immediately, I heard the perfect song. Call it what you will…
I’ll take it.

We can trust our God / He knows what He’s doing
Though it might hurt now / We won’t be ruined
It might seem there’s an ocean in between
But He’s holding on to you and me
And He’s never gonna leave, No
He is with us, He is with us
Always

As soon as that song ended, my phone rang.
I start Monday.
Call it what you will…
